The 6-track Pandemic EP introduce Ruger to the Nigeria music industry as it defines the expeditious style and ability

Ruger brilliantly fused complex genre in unified art from Afro-swing to Reggae-fusion with slidelineTrapsoul fusion and some dancehall flow mix, also uses synthetic drums and characterized by complex hi-hat patterns and tuned kick drums.

At first, listen to the self-titled track ‘Ruger‘ I puzzled by the type of vibe until I remembered my favourite Koffee‘s song titled ‘Rapture’ was slightly Sampled.

Jonzing/Sony UK aim to slightly introduce a different sound from the usual sound but want to make it familiar with ease.

Ruger has the type of voice I termed as vocal-gasm, addictive and near-perfect euphony that shows dexterity and stay-put.

Obviously, easy to feel the thirst for greatness in his art, from all sides of the spectrum, the self-titled track ‘Ruger‘  is a reggae-fusion with a trap soul, highlighting his ability and artistic prowess scans through other genres casually.

Monalisa and Abu Dhabi have the potential to crack the market yet because of the familiar melodies and street acceptance.

According to Motolani of pulse on Pandemic EP’ critical review, he describes the EP as ‘a wonderful introduction to Ruger’s element’

He further stretched on the brand overlap between the first released song titled ‘One shirt‘ with the expected Rema‘s overshadowed, in his context he said and I quote

‘They inadvertently made brands overlap and Rema’s overshadowed Ruger’s – expectedly. But by ‘Ruger,’ which is also the intro to his debut EP, Ruger truly arrived.

Affirming to the critical analysis, the self-titled track ‘Ruger’  could have been more of an introduction track to the Nigerian music industry than ‘one shirt’ to avoid Rema‘s spotlight overshadowing his art as seen on ‘one shirt’ Which is practically inevitable and happens unconsciously.

It could be more special if he appeared in the scene alone and create a path without conflicting consequences.
