Afrobeats singer Ruger shared a personal revelation during an appearance on The Road Show on Cool FM, discussing his music and a significant event from the past year.

Ruger disclosed that he hasn’t driven since a serious car accident in 2023. He recounted the incident, which occurred during the night while he and others were playing around in the car.

The vehicle overturned multiple times, though fortunately, everyone involved emerged unharmed. This was the first time Ruger publicly discussed the accident, emphasizing its impact on him.

Last year, several Nigerian celebrities were involved in accidents as well. Portable, known for his controversial music, had an accident in his new G-Wagon in July 2023 while en route to his music studio in Osapa London, Lekki. Nollywood actor Kelechi Udegbe also experienced a crash in November 2023, though he escaped with minor injuries despite significant damage to his vehicle.

These incidents underscore the unpredictability of life on the road and serve as reminders of the importance of safety precautions while driving. Ruger’s openness about his experience adds a personal dimension to his public persona, resonating with fans and highlighting the need for vigilance on the road.
