    Ruger reveals plans in response to a Kenyan singer impersonating him.

    Nigerian artist, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, also known as Ruger, has addressed the situation regarding a Kenyan man known as ‘fake Ruger,’ who has been impersonating him and performing his songs at events in Kenya.

    This impersonator, often referred to as “Fake Ruger,” has been delivering performances of Ruger’s songs at different events.

    During a recent interview on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ruger openly discussed his perspective on the matter. He clarified that he harbours no ill feelings towards the singer impersonating him.

    In fact, Ruger expressed his desire for the impersonator to achieve success, viewing it as a means of promoting his own music while enabling someone to make a living from it.

    The singer concluded by urging everyone to remain calm and give the impersonator some space to pursue his career.

    In his words;

    “I wish him [‘Fake Ruger’] well, man. I’m happy for him. I won’t shut him down. He’s making his P’s [money]. Everybody must eat.

    “My team called my attention to the impersonator but I said man is just trying to hustle. He’s actually promoting my songs in a way because he is not making his own songs and saying it’s Ruger that made the songs.

    “He is singing mine, so at the end of the day, they will go back to their houses and stream those songs. That’s the most important thing. Everybody should calm down.”
