Ruger Under Fire For Shading BNXN ‘Buju‘
Ruger has stirred up the Nigerian music conversation by taking digs at his contemporary BNXN (Buju) in a tweet.
Ruger, the Afro-dancehall sweetheart, has fired bullets at his colleague and contemporary BNXN, formerly known as Buju, in response to a Twitter user’s question.
Ruger shots were fired at BNXN on July 14th in response to a remark from a Twitter user who suggested that Buju was a better singer than him.
The fan tweeted:
“Lol bnxn is better than you ???? and there’s nothing you can do about it you this low budget Samuel L Jackson”
The star then responded to the dialogue that had resulted from a discussion about Ruger with a statement outlining the differences between the two acts.
Ruger reveals he agrees with BNXN’s talent and maintained that the musician is good.
The Jonzing artist disclosed that BNXN is not better than him because he [Ruger] has all his hit songs to his name, unlike BNXN, who got hits from collaborating with other artists.
He added that he is proud of going for shows with his songs and performing them before the crowd.
The “Girlfriend” crooner said;
“I love buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only RUGER. All my hits are JUST RUGER. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?”
Ruger had prior to that moment enjoyed a candid Q&A with his fans that saw him share his love for horror movies, a song he has with his label boss, D Prince, his feelings on being nominated for the Headies Next Rated Awards and more.

Interestingly, Ruger, BNXN fka Buju, Ayra Starr and Zinoleesky are all contenders for the Headies Next Rated Awards for 2022.
