Rudeboy had left fans concerned after he revealed he had caught the coronavirus via a post on his social media pages. Speaking with fans during a live session on Instagram, the singer said that his December period was full of shows and travels.

He even mentioned that he traveled with Wizkid, Timaya, and Runtown to different places to perform. The singer further said that he ignored warnings and COVID-19 regulations and likened the virus to malaria, saying it could not be worse.

He also mentioned that he was asymptomatic at first until December 20, 2020, when he felt some signs, he got paracetamol and continued to perform regardless.

On the 25th after a show in Calabar, he began to wonder why he had been feeling feverish for a week, so he had himself tested.

The entertainer stated that it took two doctors and tests before he believed he had contracted the disease.

He also said that it became worse and scary for him when he could not breathe properly despite the abundance of air.

Paul also said he had given up after 3 days of serious symptoms but thankfully, his family was out of the country at the time. He also told ignorant people like him not to believe until they got their own share of the virus.
