Rudeboy gives details of EFCC arrest & who accused him of diverting P-Square’s money
Nigerian singer Rudeboy, formerly of the music duo P-Square, has spoken out about his recent arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the allegations of financial misappropriation leveled against him by his twin brother, Peter Okoye.
In a radio interview with Max FM, Rudeboy revealed that he was summoned to the EFCC office over fraud allegations, specifically being accused of diverting funds meant for P-Square as a group.
He claimed that the petition was raised by Peter Okoye, citing bad advice, anger, envy, and jealousy as motivations.
Rudeboy expressed shock at the accusations and clarified his stance, providing insight into the complicated relationship between the brothers. He confirmed that the group is currently experiencing another crisis, this time related to music royalties.
The EFCC investigation lasted six months before Rudeboy was eventually cleared. This development comes amidst rumors of another rift between the brothers, who had previously reconciled after a four-year split.
Rudeboy’s account of events offers a compelling perspective on the internal conflicts within P-Square, highlighting the challenges of navigating family dynamics and professional partnerships.
As the group’s issues continue to unfold, fans remain hopeful for a resolution that will allow the brothers to reconcile and create music together once again.
