Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has shared his perspective on addressing the issue of insecurity in Nigeria. In response to the reported explosion in parts of Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Rudeboy took to his Instagram story on January 17, 2024, to convey a message.

The talented singer, known for offering advice to emerging artists on navigating challenges like depression, urged Nigerians to recognize their responsibility for their own safety.

He emphasized the importance of accepting this responsibility as a crucial step towards enhancing personal safety.

“The earlier you realize that you’re responsible for your own safety in Nigeria… the safer you’ll be,” he wrote.

In light of the ongoing challenges with insecurity in Nigeria, Rudeboy’s message highlights the need for individuals to take proactive measures to ensure their well-being.

The singer’s statement comes at a time when security concerns continue to affect the daily lives of Nigerians, with incidents such as explosions causing panic and uncertainty in various parts of the country.
