    As Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) kicked off their pre-season, they faced Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr and played to a goalless draw.

    After the match, Ronaldo took to Instagram and praised his team’s performance against strong opposition. Despite not scoring on the night and having a relatively unremarkable outing, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is expected to shine as the pre-season continues.

    Ronaldo captioned his post: “Good performance against a strong team. Pre-season preparations continue!💪🏼 Fantastic welcome from the fans here in Japan 🇯🇵🙌🏼”

    Meanwhile, PSG made headlines as Kylian Mbappe was surprisingly left out of the squad. This came after he refused to sign a new contract with the club, hinting at a possible exit. Al-Hilal is rumored to be a potential destination for the Frenchman.

    In their final pre-season friendly in Japan, Al-Hilal will be taking on last season’s Champions League finalists, Inter Milan.
