Foreign artists like Rihanna and Nicki Minaj have spoken out about the #EndSars protests and the massacre that took place in Lekki.
On the 20th of October, Protesters in Lekki Tollgate were attacked by uniformed men leading to casualties.
This led to outrage from not just Nigerians themselves but from Foreign brands. Foreign Artists also spoke about the massacre.
Rihanna posted a picture of a Nigerian Flag and wrote;
“I can’t bear to see the torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect the nations across the planets.
It’s such a betrayal to the citizens that the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by!
My heart is broken for Nigeria. It’s unbearable to watch! I’m proud of your strength and not letting on the fight for what is right!”
Nicki Minaj;
“Standing with & praying for the brave young people of Nigeria who are on the front lines of this senseless violence. Your voice is being heard.”
Chance The Rapper;
“There is a massacre happening in Lekki. Firing squads mass murdering young people in Nigeria. The world needs to engage”
