American rapper Rick Ross has taken the place of Burna Boy at the Afro Nation festival in Puerto Rico after Burna Boy’s team informed the show organizers that he would not be able to make it to the event.
On March 24th, 2022, it was announced that Burna Boy would be missing from the event due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
The African Giant issued a statement expressing how “Very heartbroken” he is to miss the show in Puerto Rico.

The organizers of Afro Nation Puerto Rico released a statement 24 hours after the disappointing announcement, saying that award-winning American rapper Rick Ross will be the performer replacing Burna on the lineup and in Puerto Rico.
Afro Nation wrote;
“Yesterday we were informed by Burna Boy’s team that it was impossible for him to make it to Puerto Rico for his performance at ANPR2022. We have spent the last 24 hours attempting to secure a replacement and are hugely thankful to Rick Ross for stepping in at the last minute t deliver you an incredible show.”
