Rexxie Unleashes Banger “Road 2 Riches”

Nigerian hitmaker Rexxie, the mastermind behind era-defining anthems like “Soapy” and “Abracadabra,” returns with “Road 2 Riches,” the high-octane lead single from his forthcoming album BIG VYBZ.

A bold cross-continental fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano, “Road 2 Riches” sees Rexxie join forces with TitoM and Yuppe, the South African duo behind the global smash “Tshwala Bam.”

The result is a propulsive, groove-laden production that bridges Lagos and Pretoria and reaffirms Rexxie’s reputation as one of the continent’s most innovative sonic architects.

Vocals come courtesy of YKB, one of Nigeria’s most distinctive new Afrobeats voices, and 2woshort, a rising force in South Africa’s Amapiano scene. Together, they deliver a dynamic, feel-good anthem that celebrates ambition, success, and the shared rhythm of Africa’s new sound.

“Road 2 Riches” embodies the spirit of BIG VYBZ: an unapologetically pan-African project uniting the continent’s finest producers, vocalists, and scenes. As the first taste of what’s to come, it sets the tone for an album that promises to redefine the boundaries of modern African pop.

The song samples TKZee’s legendary 1998 hit Dlala Mapantsula, a Kwaito classic that took the South African music scene by storm.

    About Rexxie

Although he was born in Anambra State, he grew up in Lagos and Abuja. In Abuja, he attended Government Secondary School, Garki. He earned a degree in computer science from Tai Solarin University of Education in Ije Ode, Ogun State.

While being a member of the school band, Rexxie was also the music prefect at Government Secondary School, Garki in Abuja in 2010. Before this time, he had the opportunity to hone his skills as a keyboardist while he was in the church choir.

When he met the legendary vocalist Zlatan, it was a watershed moment in his music career. With his first-ever developed sound in March 2018, Rexxie worked alongside Zlatan, Lil Kesh, and Naira Marley on his first record ‘’Jogor.

Rexxie’s most notable creation was the “Able God” beat he created for Chinko Ekun, which included Lil Kesh and Zlatan. The track became a national anthem across the country and went on to win the Headies award for the best street hop, with complete production attributed to Rexxie.

Since then, Rexxie has created several popular songs in Nigeria, including Naira Marley hits “Tesumole,” “Mafo,” “Aye,” “Puta,” “Soapy,” Sarkodie’s “Bumper,” and Davido’s “Bum Bum” starring Zlatan, establishing his name as one of Nigeria’s new fast-growing producers.
