    Nigerian artist Rema recently returned to his hometown of Benin City for a high-energy concert that thrilled his fans, generating wild excitement and cheers from the packed audience.

    The sold-out homecoming concert took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Friday, August 30, marking Rema’s first show in Nigeria and drawing thousands of fans, effectively bringing the city to a standstill.

    Before the concert, Rema received the blessings of the Oba of Benin, setting the stage for an electrifying performance where he dazzled the crowd with his hit songs.

    A standout moment of the night was the surprise appearance by Mavin Record Label’s boss, Don Jazzy, who joined Rema on stage along with Crayon and Shallipopi.

    In a heartwarming gesture, Rema gifted two lucky fans ₦2 million each for their portraits of him.

    However, the night took an unexpected turn when an overzealous fan climbed onto the stage during Rema’s performance of his hit song “Ozeba.” In a surprising moment, Rema kicked the fan, adding a dramatic twist to the celebration.

    Despite the brief incident, Rema’s homecoming concert was a resounding success, solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s leading music stars. The event will be remembered for its unforgettable moments, spectacular performances, and Rema’s generosity toward his fans.

    In other news, Rema joined Governor Obaseki for the groundbreaking ceremony of Edo Arena and laid the first block. The arena, which will be called β€˜Rema’s Dome,’ is located at the former Garrick Memorial School Ground on Ekehuan Road in Benin City,”

    They were also joined by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Asue Ighodalo and the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, Culture and Diaspora Affairs, Uyi Oduwa Malaka, among other top government functionaries.
