Rema’s hit song “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, has made history on Billboard’s Pop Song Airplay Chart by becoming the first collaboration to spend over a full year on the chart. The song has gained significant international recognition and set multiple records on the US Billboard charts.
According to music chart platform Chartdata, “Calm Down” has spent 52 weeks on the Pop Song Airplay Chart, setting a new chart record. It previously made history by becoming the first African song to reach No. 1 on the Pop Songs Chart, highlighting its immense popularity in the United States.

The song also peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, which is a significant African record for this century, and spent 52 weeks on that chart, unprecedented for an African song.
