Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter Divine Ikubor, popularly known by his stage name Rema, has added another platinum certification to his shelf in France with his hit song “Calm Down.”
The Mavin prince has hit a new milestone with his buzzing tune ‘Calm Down’ as he added another plaque to his shelf with his recent achievements.
Since its debut on the 20th of Febuary 2022, “Calm Down” has achieved significant milestones, like becoming the most shazamed song in France in May. The song is the first in Afrobeats to reach the 100 million view milestone in less than five months.

Proving that the 22-year-old superstar has a great following in France, ‘Calm Down’ has been announced to have gone platinum after garnering thirty million (30,000,000) stream-equivalents with sales of 200k units.

In addition, Rema now holds the newest record with Calm Down (5 months, 14 days), while Burna Boy had the fastest Afrobeats song to achieve Platinum in France with On The Low (1 year+), CKay broke the record with Emiliana (5 months, 23 days).
“On The Low” by Burna Boy was the first certified Afrobeats song. “Love Nwantiti” by CKay was the first certified Diamond Afrobeats song. “Calm Down” by Rema was the fastest certified Platinum Afrobeats song.
