‘Calm Down’ by Rema spends a record 45th week on the UK Official Singles Chart
Nigerian superstar Rema has achieved another milestone on the UK Official Singles Chart. His song ‘Calm Down‘ has become one of the biggest songs globally since its release in February 2022, reaching the top of the charts in North Africa, the US, the UK, and Asia.
In the latest edition of the UK Official Singles Chart (7 July 2023 – 13 July 2023), ‘Calm Down‘ by Rema continues its impressive run, extending its record as the longest-charting Afrobeats record on the chart to 45 weeks. It currently sits at No. 39, dropping three places from the previous week.
Burna Boy’s hit single, which marks his 10th top 40 hit, reaches a new peak at No. 36, climbing two spots from its previous position at No. 38.
Libianca’s ‘People‘ drops three places to No. 47 while maintaining its presence on the chart for 27 weeks.
Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush‘ remains steady at No. 54 as it enters its 24th week on the chart, and Davido’s ‘Unavailable‘ drops five places to No. 65 in its 11th week.
On the UK Official Afrobeats Chart (9 July 2023 – 15 July 2023), J Hus’s ‘Who Told You’ featuring Drake holds the No. 1 spot, followed by Burna Boy’s ‘Sitting On Top Of The World’ at No. 2.
Asake’s ‘Amapiano‘ achieves a new peak at No. 3, Rema’s ‘Charm‘ moves up one place to No. 4, and Asake’s ‘Basquiat‘ reaches a new peak at No. 5.
Omah Lay’s ‘Reason‘ moves up two spots to No. 6, NSG’s ‘Unruly‘ maintains its position at No. 7, Davido’s ‘Feel‘ rises one spot to No. 8, Tyler ICU’s ‘Mnike’ climbs two places to No. 9, and Spinall’s ‘Loju‘ featuring Wizkid debuts at No. 10.
OdumoduBlvck’s ‘Firegun‘ makes its debut at No. 15, and Davido’s ‘Kante‘ re-enters the chart at No. 12.
