Rema’s Calm Down continues to make waves on the Billboard Hot 100 as it extends its impressive run into 2023, and the song begins the new year as the lone Nigerian song on the chart.
Rema keeps up his streak on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Calm Down” climbs to No. 79, up 6 spots from his No. 83 place the previous week, according to the most recent list, which is dated January 7th, 2023.
The Selena Gomez-featuring “Calm Down” remix has had a strong performance in the US, debuting at No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 as it enters its 17th week on the chart.
Over a million copies of both versions of the song have been sold, and its total number of streams across all platforms has surpassed 1 billion.

Meanwhile, Wizkid has once again written his name into history with his recent achievement on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
The singer’s fourth studio album, “Made in Lagos,” has now charted in the Billboard World Albums category for four consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023), spending over 100 weeks on the chart and making it the first African album to achieve such a feat.
