Rema’s song “Calm Down” extends its run on Billboard Hot 100 to 22 weeks.
The smash song “Calm Down” by Nigerian sensation Rema has continued to rise, reaching a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Since its release in February 2022, ‘Calm Down‘ has enjoyed impressive success in the US where it has surpassed over a million copies in sales.
February 11, 2023, chart week The international mega single “Calm Down” by Rema has attained a new top position of NO. 26 in the most recent edition of the Billboard Hot 100. The Selena Gomez hit remix moved up two places from its NO. 28 position last week while extending its run on the chart to 22 weeks.

The only change in the top 10 this week is Burna Boy’s ‘Alone‘ moving up one spot to the NO. 10 position.
Tems‘ ‘Free Mind’, Fireboy‘s ‘Peru’, CKay‘s ‘Love Nwantiti’, Wizkid‘s ‘Essence’, and Rema‘s ‘Calm Down’ all extend their run on the chart to 46 weeks.

In other news, Rema’s “Calm Down” remix has officially sold more than one million sales in the United States, according to a tweet from his fan account, earning it an RIAA platinum plaque.
The hit song was first certified gold on the 30th of November 2022 after selling over 500,000 digital units in the US before receiving its platinum certification over 2 months later on the 2nd of February 2023.
The record, which was released in February 2022 as the lead single from Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses,’ went on to become one of the best-selling Afrobeats songs of 2022.
The song has received over a billion plays across all platforms, and after he broke the previous record held by Ckay’s “Love Nwantiti“, it has also become the most-watched Nigerian music video on YouTube.
By earning a platinum certification for “Calm Down,” Rema will join CKay, Wizkid, and Burna Boy as leading musicians from Nigeria to have this honour.
