This is why Rema satisfies every requirement to emerge as heir to the throne
Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, has proven that he is not only a gifted performer but also a talented artist with excellent drawing skills.
The aspiring Mavin/Jonzing Records musician recently showed off his drawing skills and amazed onlookers.
When the smash hit Dumebi debuted hot and heavy across the nation and received extensive airplay across audio and visual media outlets, the times were truly lovely. It dominated charts at the time and was the current trend.
This came as no surprise because it sounded different from the music that was being presented in the nation at the time.
The single was part of his 4-track debut EP titled “Rema EP” which was published in 2019.
The EP was well received by critics and completely blew away music fans. Dumebi was the best of the best because it delighted everyone.
This was the song that initially drew attention to this newcomer both locally and internationally. Rema, the newcomer who became Africa’s miracle child, hasn’t turned around since.
Rema declared the creation of the “Afro-rave” genre in May 2021. His admirers enthusiastically embraced the name as it gained popularity online, but some people thought it was unneeded and rejected it.
Despite this, he released Soundgasm in June as his “first Afro-rave track.” With the release of this song, Rema and his Ravers fanbase entered a new era.
Compared to Rema’s previous sound, this one was distinct and had a cooler, calmer quality.
Rema was not featured in any new songs for the next months, either self-penned or by other artists, as the singer tried to saturate the market with his music.
The “Rave & Roses” CD was published precisely three days after he completed his third year in the business. His Ravers and other fanbase have so far shown a broad acceptance of the CD.
Only artists from outside of Nigeria were included on the sixteen tracks that made up the album. The album contained features from artists like AJ Tracey, Chris Brown, 6lack, and Yseult.
Each of the featured artists delivered their best work to the songs, and Rema was as good as ever.
Released on Mavin Global/Jonzing World was the song “Calm Down.” The song is off Rema’s debut album Rave & Roses, which was released in March, and was co-produced by Andre Vibez and London. The song, which was influenced by the author’s own experiences, depicts a couple navigating the early stages of relationship. More than 151 million people have watched the song’s music video on YouTube as of right now.
It all began at a party when Rema noticed a girl who stuck out from the others and thought she was worth a shot. We conversed and danced, but her buddies prevented me from getting much closer, ruining the mood. When they weren’t there afterward, we stayed in touch and got along.
