Rema and Ruger Set to take Afrobeats to Japan in 2025 with Afro Jam Festival
Rema and Ruger are set to make history as the lead performers bringing Afrobeats to a new frontier at the 2025 Afro Jam Festival in Japan.
For the first time, the Afro Jam Festival will showcase Afrobeats’ global influence on the Asian stage, with Rema and Ruger headlining the highly anticipated event.
The festival, a grand celebration of African music and culture, will span three major Japanese cities—Okinawa, Osaka, and Tokyo—promising an unforgettable experience.
The journey kicks off in Okinawa at the Suntory Arena from July 17 to July 20, 2025, with an electrifying lineup featuring Jason Derulo, The Wailers, Saweetie, Gyakie, Shenseea, Ruger, Rema, and more. Audiences can expect high-energy performances that set the tone for the festival.
Next, the excitement moves to Osaka’s Ookini Arena Maishima from July 22 to July 24, 2025. This leg will feature Afrobeat stars such as Shatta Mafia, Lauryn, and Amanda Par, keeping the momentum alive with pulsating rhythms and crowd-moving performances.
The grand finale takes place in Tokyo at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza from July 25 to July 27, 2025. Headliners Jason Derulo, Rema, and Shenseea will close out the festival with unforgettable performances, cementing Afro Jam Festival 2025 as a landmark moment for Afrobeats in Asia.
