Nigerian blazing star, Rema has revealed the profound meaning behind his stage name.
When the singer was questioned about the meaning of his name in an interview, he said it stands for “Revelation“.
He claimed that the name stood for various things and had power that could not be seen or felt but still had the potential to.
In his words;
“The name Rema stands for a revelation from a whole dimension, a whole other realm. It could be a word, a vision, it could be a prophecy, but it something that takes power that it is not actually seen or felt but will be seen and will be felt. It’s just like its an expression in a non physical manner”

Meanwhile, Rema has disclosed that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) eight-month strike forced him to decide against accepting a place at UNILAG.
He revealed this in a radio appearance with Kiss FM, where he claimed to have moved on and told his mother of his choice.
Mp3bullet.ng recalls that in January 2022, Rema revealed via his Twitter account that he gained admission into UNILAG.
When asked why he never resumed lessons at the higher education level, Rema stated that he hoped to study part-time schooling and music, but the strike derailed his intentions.
