In other news, Rema sparked laughter when he humorously declined to choose which country makes the best jollof rice, stating that he didn’t want to get involved in the infamous jollof rice wars. The moment was captured in a video posted on Instagram by The People Gallery during the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer Men’s 2025 show in Paris, France, on June 18, 2024.
During the interview, when asked about his outfit, Rema mentioned it was from LV (Louis Vuitton), showcasing his style. When questioned about who he would pick as talented as himself, he cryptically replied, “Black is safe.”
On the topic of food, when asked about his favorite, Rema promptly answered “Jollof rice.” The interviewer then playfully asked, “Who has the best jollof rice? I’m from Liberia.” Rema, chuckling, diplomatically sidestepped the question, stating, “You know, that’s one discussion I really don’t want to have. The jollof rice battle is one I don’t want to be a part of.”
