Popular Nigerian Afrobeats artist Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, has praised and referred to his senior colleague Augustine Miles Kelechi, better known as Tekno, as a legend.

The Mavin prince took to his Twitter account to acknowledge Tekno’s accomplishments in the music industry.

He said that although people continue to applaud musicians who are setting records in the music industry, they should also make an effort to applaud others who haven’t gained much notoriety but are still giving it their all.

Rema shared a photo of Tekno and captioned it: “LEGEND”

    The “Calm Down” crooner added:

“As we celebrate the first to do it & the best to do it. Let’s also celebrate those who just… Do it ????????‍♂️”

In other news, Rema has made history once more as the music video for his international hit song “Calm down” surpasses 400 million views on YouTube, becoming the first ever Nigerian music video to do so.

According to reports, Rema’s Calm Down tune is the first Afrobeat song to achieve such a feat.

The song “Calm Down” is from Rema’s debut studio album, Rave and Rose, which was released earlier in 2022.

The Mavin record artist also dropped a remix with American singer Selena Gomez, and as of 2022, that song had amassed the highest streams of any Afro-beat song.

Recall that not too long ago, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Calm Down was awarded 3x Platinum certification in Canada after selling 240,000 units.

The certification was issued on the 24th of February, 2023 and was also issued a double Platinum on the same day.
