The talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has achieved a new career milestone on the Billboard Global Chart.
With his most recent achievement, the Afrobeats superstar extended his domination on the international scene.
The Mavin/Jonzing World star continues to break records with his talent after having a stellar 2022 that included, among other achievements, having his voice heard in the trailer for the follow-up to the renowned film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” from Marvel Studios.
The “Calm Down” hitmaker has become the first African act to hit the number-one spot on the Billboard Global chart.

According to Billboard, the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world.
The Global 200 chart is inclusive of worldwide data, and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.
In his latest achievement, the superstar moved up from position eight to take the top spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. list with his universally acclaimed song “Calm Down,” which features American artist Selena Gomez.
