It’s my turn – Rema thanks Burna Boy as he headlines O2 Arena concert
Renowned Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has showered praise on his senior colleague Burna Boy just ahead of his own sold-out concert at the O2 Arena.
Reflecting on a significant moment in his career, The singer recalled how Burna Boy had invited him to perform on stage during Burna Boy’s O2 Arena concert two years ago.
In a heartfelt post on his Twitter page just moments before headlining his own show at the prestigious venue on November 14, 2023, Rema expressed deep gratitude to the self-proclaimed African Giant for being a source of inspiration in his musical journey.
The “Calm Down” hitmaker wished Odogwu could be present to witness the moment and thanked him for the motivation.
He acknowledged that Tuesday was now his turn to take the stage and ‘conquer’ his own show at the iconic venue—a dream for many up-and-coming artists.
Rema wrote; “Before I get on stage, I want to say a big thank you to @burnaboy for bringing me on stage 2 years ago. Today it’s my turn to conquer that same stage and I wish you were here to share this moment with me. Regardless, I’m grateful for the motivation. With love, Rema.❤️”
