Rema discusses why he didn’t feature any Afrobeat artists on his new album.
Nigerian Singer, Rema has disclosed why he didn’t feature any Afrobeats artists on his debut album ‘Rave and Roses‘.
Rema made the revelation on an Instagram live session during a Q&A session.
According to the “Calm Down” crooner, every collaboration off his ‘Rave & Roses‘ album was organic as he and the artists are friends and respect each other’s crafts.
He also added that he was not looking at putting any artist on his debut album based on the fact of not making anyone angry.
He also spoke about how Time and Attention was made with Chris Brown.
In his words;
“Just to be clear, I know people might be thinking, shit, why don’t Rema have any Afrobeat artist on his album, I would say no feature on my album was based off umm, ‘hey label I need an artist or I need an international collabo’ nah, nothing was like that.
Everything was organic. Every artist in my album is my friend. I don’t really like to make music with people if they are not actually cool.

So its not me trying to be like be oh shit you know, ‘i need to the feature to be’ nah bra, that’s disgusting..”
