    On October 16, 2024, Afrobeats sensation Rema captivated fans at the Zepp Kuala Lumpur, a venue with a capacity of 2,500, delivering an electrifying performance filled with his hit songs.

    The concert was a resounding success, with the audience enthusiastically cheering and singing along to his captivating renditions.

    This sold-out event in Kuala Lumpur followed Rema’s headline performance at the Eden Festival in New Zealand, where he shared the stage with fellow Afrobeats stars Tiwa Savage and Ruger.

    Rema’s ability to fill venues speaks volumes about his rising status as a global superstar, significantly contributing to the international recognition of Afrobeats.

    The Benin-born artist has made a notable impact in Asia, particularly with his record-breaking hit “Calm Down,” which became the first Afrobeat song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

    It also made history by topping the MENA chart, earning a spot in the Guinness Book of Records.

    In 2024, Rema continued to shine with the release of his second album, ‘HEIS,’ which he describes as an effort to return Afrobeats to its sonic roots.

    The album features collaborations with fellow artist Shallipopi and rapper Odumodublvck. Rema has recently submitted the album for Grammy consideration, hoping to secure his first nomination.
