If I had money I won’t be going for shows – Rema.
Nigerian superstar Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema has noted that contrary to common opinion, he, too, needs money like everybody else.
The king of ravers made this known via his Twitter page on the 1st of July 2023, while responding to a fan who wanted to drop his account number for giveaway.
It all started with Rema asking his fans how they are doing, and a guy known as @ommies_official, wrote; “We’re okay ooo but e be like say we need money make we drop AZA”
Responding to his plea, Rema said that he also needs money which is why he is going for music shows.
He tweeted; “Brother all of us need money, if I no need money I for no dey go show.”

In other news, Rema has become the second Nigerian artist in history to do this in the US chart
The artist has continued to row quickly, and he is currently tied with Wizkid as the only Nigerian artist to do this in the US chart.
Rema and Wizkid are the only Nigerian musicians to have hit the number-one spot on the US chart, shattering the previous record for the highest peak position for a Nigerian song.
Rema’s Calm Down remix, which features international vocalist Selena Gomez, has achieved a new milestone, joining Big Wiz as the first Nigerian musician in history to hit number one on the US Radio Songs chart. Wiz reached number one on the charts with his chart-topping song Essence featuring Tems.
This accomplishment comes only weeks after the singer’s song became the first Nigerian song to reach the top of the US Pop Airplay chart in May 2023.
