Rema sets a record by being the first Nigerian artist to do so in India.
Rema is still promoting African music worldwide, and his mega-hit, Calm Down, has given him another success in India.
The Rave And Roses originator set a new milestone after his Calm Down track sold 60 thousand units in India, which is equivalent to 12 million streams. The vocalist is now qualified for a Gold certification from the Indian Music Industry, the most prestigious recording company in the nation, as a result.
Some days ago, Calm Down had also peaked on the Indian Charts at number 19, with Rema himself tweeting a screenshot of the charts with the statement, “That sound in the ‘Indian Charts’ ????✌????”.
Adding to the Calm Down streak, the video had likewise, made a new record of being the fastest Afrobeats video to hit 200million views.
