Afrobeats sensation Rema has emerged as the most-streamed Nigerian artist on YouTube for the first quarter of 2025, according to new data from Nigerian music chart platform The Debut Hub.

The global star racked up an impressive 223 million views, fueled by his powerhouse catalogue and the enduring success of his worldwide smash hit Calm Down, which recently made history by surpassing 1 billion views on the platform.

Rema’s momentum continues with his 2025 hit Baby (Is It A Crime), which earned 14 million streams, making it the second most-streamed Nigerian song on YouTube this year.

Close behind is Grammy-winning superstar Burna Boy, who secured 171 million streams, landing him in second place. Burna is currently building anticipation for his eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, slated to drop later this year.

Coming in third is Rema’s Mavin Records labelmate Ayra Starr, with 169 million views. Her viral single All The Love and a streak of successful releases have kept her firmly in the spotlight.

Davido, a five-time Grammy nominee, occupies the fourth spot with 113 million views. With his fifth studio album 5ive on the way, his streaming numbers are expected to rise even further.

Rounding out the top five is Wizkid, who garnered 102 million streams. The Starboy recently dropped the video for Kese (Dance), a standout track from his record-shattering sixth album Morayo.

These numbers not only reflect the dominance of Nigerian artists on YouTube but also highlight how Afrobeats continues to capture global audiences at an unprecedented pace.
