Nigerian sensational artist Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, has become the most exported Afrobeats artist on the Spotify streaming platform.
The music streaming platform announced superstar Rema as Afrobeats’ foremost export and song list.
The emergence of social media and the entry of music streaming platforms have enhanced the reach, funding, and market of afrobeats internationally.
Rema is one of the musicians whose worldwide success with “Calm Down,” which has topped charts on several continents, is expanding the boundaries of Afrobeats.
Global streaming service Spotify has named Rema, a Mavin Records signee, as the biggest Afrobeats exported artist and declared his song “Calm Down” to be the most exported Afrobeats song.
Rema’s ‘Calm Down‘ with Selena Gomez tops the list, which also includes tracks by megastar Burna Boy and international Afrobeats superstar CKay.
