Reekado Banks confirms release date for new album ‘The Game Needs You’
Nigerian Afropop star Reekado Banks has officially confirmed that his highly anticipated album, The Game Needs You (TGNY), will be released on July 7, 2025.
The announcement was made on Monday, June 9, via the artist’s social media platforms, where he shared a teaser image featuring the cryptic caption “7/7.” A few days earlier, on June 6, Reekado had already hinted at the date, writing: “The album: TGNY – The Game Needs You, will be out 7/7/25.”
The album artwork also revealed in the June 9 post features a sleek minimalist design, with a white background and a bold maroon triangular emblem at the center bearing the inscription “Reekadia,” possibly referencing a new brand or creative direction for the artist.
According to information shared, The Game Needs You will consist of 15 tracks with a total runtime of 40 minutes and 15 seconds, signalling a compact but potentially impactful listening experience.
