Real Madrid and Barcelona have revealed their La Liga schedules for 2023-24, including dates for more highly anticipated Clasico clashes.
Champions from the previous year Barcelona will begin their title defense on the road on August 13 at Getafe. Meanwhile, Real Madrid begin their search for further domestic success away at Athletic Club. The Blaugrana will play Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the last round of matches, while the Blancos will host Real Betis.
The first La Liga Clasico of 2023-24 will take place on October 29 at Camp Nou, with the long-running rivalry between two old enemies scheduled to continue on April 21 at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are scheduled to clash on August 24 (at Wanda Metropolitano) and February 4, respectively, while Betis and Sevilla will play on November 12 and April 28. Real Sociedad and Athletic Club will meet in the Basque Derby on October 1 and January 13.
Barcelona finished 10 points ahead of Real in the 2022-23 season, winning their first title since 2019. However, Real have already made moves in the transfer market, bringing in Jude Bellingham for €103 million (£89m/$113m), and both sides of a fierce Clasico divide are likely to have been bolstered by the time another competitive ball is kicked in anger.
