Jude Bellingham transfer to Real Madrid: England midfielder completes move from Borussia Dortmund on six-season deal.
Real Madrid have announced Jude Bellingham’s €103 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund made the first announcement of Bellingham’s transfer to Santiago Bernabeu last week, along with the enormous €103m (£88m/$110m) transfer fee. Before agreeing to terms with Real, the 19-year-old underwent a medical. This week, Real will formally introduce him as their newest signee.
The Spanish giants released an official statement announcing the deal on Wednesday, which reads: “Real Madrid CF and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of the player Jude Bellingham, who will remain linked to our club for the next six seasons.”
The club added on Bellingham’s presentation ceremony: “Tomorrow, Thursday, June 15, at 12:00 noon at Real Madrid City, the presentation ceremony for Jude Bellingham as a new Real Madrid player will take place. Next, Jude Bellingham will appear before the media.”

Bellingham has pledged his future to Real through 2029, ending his incredibly successful time playing for Dortmund in Germany.
The England international joined BVB from Birmingham City in 2020, and in 132 appearances for the Bundesliga’s top club, he amassed 24 goals and 25 assists. Bellingham had also drawn significant interest from Manchester City and Liverpool, but he decided to continue his development under the spotlight of the Santiago Bernabeu.

Bellingham leaves Dortmund after three seasons and was named Bundesliga Player of the Year in the most recent campaign.
In a farewell statement on the Dortmund website, Bellingham said: “Thank you to everyone at BVB and to the fans for everything over the past three years.
“It’s been an honour to wear your jersey so many times, in big and small moments. Even though I look forward to my next destination, I will never forget the journey there. Once Borussia always Borussia. All the best for the future.”
Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke added: “We thank Jude for three years of passion for Borussia Dortmund. It was a fantastic time together.
“We would also like to thank Real Madrid for the always fair and constructive discussions.”
In addition, The England midfielder was initially selected for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against North Macedonia and Malta by Gareth Southgate. Bellingham, who missed Dortmund’s final game of the 2022–23 season due to a knee injury, has since been informed by the FA that he would not participate in either match.
