The organizers of the AfroNation festival have revealed ticket prices, generating a flurry of reactions from Nigerian enthusiasts.

The much-anticipated annual Afro Nation music festival is set to make its debut in Nigeria on June 9, 2023. Nigerians greeted this news with immense enthusiasm and eagerness, aspiring to savour the same vibrant experiences enjoyed by their counterparts in Mexico, Ghana, Portugal, and Puerto Rico.

This past weekend, the festival organizers disclosed the ticket prices as sales officially commenced today. The event is scheduled for December 19 and 20, 2023, and the ticket costs have been met with some surprise due to their relatively high pricing.

Tickets for the VIP Weekend’s initial distribution cost N228,000 per person. Contrarily, the second release will cost N266,350 per person.

The payment plan ticket tier is a bit more pricey as it starts at 266,350 per person for its first release. The soon-release will cost 303,639.

These tickets will allow access to:

Unrestricted access to the front of the stage (Be within arms reach of the artist)

Access to the festival VIP area

    VIP bars with faster service

    Priority festival entry

An Item of exclusive Afro-Nation merch

Priority access to book a table on the Leopard Lounge

    Luxury serviced toilets

Nigerians reacted strongly to this price announcement given the escalating expenses of amenities and the ordinary person’s overall economic situation. Here are some comments made by music lovers.
