Ruben Amorim insists Marcus Rashford ‘has to change’ to stand any chance of ending exile as he claims Red Devils are missing his ‘talent’

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has issued a stark warning to Marcus Rashford, insisting that the forward “has to change” if he wants to revive his Old Trafford career.
Speaking ahead of United’s Europa League clash against FCSB, Amorim was blunt about Rashford’s struggles, stating, “Imagine a talent like Rashford—our team should be so much better with Rashford. But Rashford, he has to change.
If he changes, we are more than welcome to put a talent like Rashford [in the team], and we need it! But in this moment, I think it’s really clear that we have to set some standards.
So we are waiting for Marcus, if he wants it really, really bad. It’s not personal. I have nothing against Marcus, I just have to have the same rules for everybody, for me it’s so simple.”
The relationship between Rashford and Amorim has reportedly deteriorated, with the pair no longer on speaking terms. Tensions escalated after Rashford told journalist Henry Winter he was open to a “new challenge,” while Amorim has continuously questioned the 27-year-old’s attitude and work ethic.
With the January transfer window nearing its close, Rashford appears to be running out of options. Despite interest from Juventus, Milan, Napoli, and Barcelona, his high wage demands have discouraged several clubs from making a move.
Reports suggest that his only realistic choices now are a loan switch to Juventus or a long-term deal with Barcelona.
