Rashford makes social media mistake when writing his tribute to De Gea
During the confirmation of David de Gea’s departure from Manchester United, Marcus Rashford made an unfortunate social media blunder in his tribute to the goalkeeper.
On Saturday, De Gea announced his exit from the Red Devils after serving the club for 12 years. This led to a wave of comments from his former teammates, including Bruno Fernandes.
However, Rashford’s initial Instagram post contained an awkward error, which he swiftly edited afterward.
The post featured a picture of Rashford alongside De Gea, accompanied by the caption: “Caption ideas: You were here from my breakthrough, good luck with your next step brother.”
The first two words of the caption were later removed, but not before vigilant fans noticed the mistake and captured screenshots of the original message.
