Nigerian socialite and fashion figure Rahman Jago has claimed that Afrofusion superstar Burna Boy has converted to Islam.
The speculation began after Jago shared a video of the Grammy-winning artist on X (formerly Twitter), in which Burna Boy was heard saying “Alhamdulillah,” an Arabic phrase meaning “praise be to God.”
The clip quickly sparked conversations online, with fans questioning whether the singer had formally embraced Islam, especially given his occasional use of Arabic expressions in songs and public appearances.
Amid the growing curiosity, Bashir Ahmad responded to an inquiry on X, noting that while some individuals close to Burna Boy have suggested he converted, there has been no direct or official confirmation from the artist himself.
Rahman Jago later doubled down on the claim, stating categorically online: “He converted. He is now a Muslim.”
As of now, however, Burna Boy has not publicly addressed or confirmed the reports.
