Asake and British rapper Central Cee spotted together in Lagos, hints on possible collaboration
On the heels of his successful collaboration with top artists, Nigerian artist Asake might be gearing up for another collaboration, this time with British rapper Central Cee.
The “Lonely At The Top” crooner was spotted with Central Cee on June 7, 2024, seemingly on the set of a music video. Despite the excitement, the two have not yet released any songs together.
The unexpected meetup in Lagos drew a lot of fan support, with chants of “Central Cee, Asake” as bodyguards worked to keep the crowd at bay.
Besides this potential collaboration, Asake has been in high spirits. He was featured on the recently released albums of both Tems and Ayra Starr and has been making waves with his debut album on Spotify.

Asake’s debut album, “Mr. Money with the Vibe,” has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 450 million streams on Spotify. This accomplishment highlights the singer’s remarkable success on the platform.
Following the announcement of his collaboration with Ayra Starr on her debut album, Asake has another reason to celebrate. His debut album, released in February 2022, has quickly garnered widespread recognition, with its streaming numbers reaching impressive heights.
The album’s enduring popularity underscores Asake’s infectious sound and captivating rhythm, solidifying him as one of the fastest-rising artists in the mainstream music scene.
This achievement follows Asake’s recent milestone of surpassing 300 million streams on his sophomore album, “Work Of Art,” on Spotify. Combined, these streaming numbers demonstrate the immense support and appreciation from fans, nearing close to a billion streams across songs where Asake is either the main artist or a featured artist.
