With its 17 times platinum certification, Post Malone and Swae Lee’s song “Sunflower” has become the most certified song in American history.
On Monday, November 14th, 2022, music chart news platform Chart Data announced that ‘Sunflower‘ was eligible for its 17th platinum plaque, making it the most certified song in the United States.
The 2018 single is one of the tracks on Post Malone’s album ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding,’ which was released in 2019. The song would serve as the soundtrack for the popular Marvel animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse.”
With its 17th platinum plaque, ‘Sunflower’ has surpassed the previous record of 16th platinum held by Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’.

‘Sunflower‘ is one of the biggest in the world and it has charted in multiple countries reaching number one in over 5 countries including the US.
The song has amassed over 2.4 billion streams on Spotify and over 1.9 billion streams on YouTube.
‘Sunflower‘ has gone platinum in over 10 countries reaching 3 times platinum in the UK and a record-breaking 17 times platinum in the US.
It was nominated for the Record of the Year and Best Duo/Group Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
