‘Plane Stopper’: Portable records new song about KWAM 1’s airport incident

Street-pop star Portable has announced a new single titled Plane Stopper, inspired by the recent high-profile airport drama involving Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1.
The singer teased the track on Instagram, sparking thousands of reactions from fans and celebrities alike, including footballer Victor Boniface and musician Nasboi.
Blending his trademark street sound with elements of Yoruba folk music, Portable uses the song to back KWAM 1’s claim that the disputed liquid at the centre of the incident was water, not alcohol. He also lauds the Fuji icon for his “super instincts” in dodging an incoming plane wing at the last moment.
Known for weaving current events and personal experiences into his records, Portable’s upcoming single continues his tradition of turning real-life controversies into music that resonates with the streets.

Recall, Portable has taken legal action against outspoken activist VeryDarkMan, following a heated online feud that escalated with the release of diss tracks from both parties.
The drama began when VeryDarkMan publicly accused Portable of having been involved in a tricycle theft incident, a claim he reiterated in a diss track where he labeled the singer a thief.
Portable responded with a scathing track of his own, firing back with personal insults and unverified claims about VeryDarkMan’s past.
Now, the Zazoo Zeh crooner has taken things a step further by involving law enforcement. In a video shared online, Portable revealed that he has officially filed a police petition in Abuja, demanding VeryDarkMan’s arrest.
“I don write petition against VeryDarkMan make them pick am from Abuja,” Portable declared. “If dem no carry am jail am, Nigeria no go better. Na him be say Nigeria don Jaga Jaga…”
