Back on the Streets and in the Studio: Portable turns trial into music, teases new single following Saheed Osupa ordeal

Fresh out of detention, street-hop maverick Portable is wasting no time getting back to his roots—turning life’s chaos into music.
The Zeh Nation boss has teased a brand-new single titled “Oni Reason,“ just days after his release following a brief detention stemming from a defamation lawsuit filed by Fuji legend Saheed Osupa.
In a preview posted to his Instagram, Portable touches on his latest brush with the law, hinting that every twist in his journey is divinely orchestrated.
“Oni Reason” is the latest in a growing catalog of songs where Portable mines his legal entanglements for creative fuel. This follows a familiar pattern:
- After being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police for allegedly assaulting government officials, he dropped the ‘Most Wanted’ EP.
- Amid the viral “I Am A Chosen” moment in 2024, he responded with the ‘Chosen EP’.
- And who could forget ‘Spiderman’, released after he went viral for scaling a fence to dodge arrest over his Brabus G-Wagon debt?
Portable’s knack for turning controversy into catchy street anthems is part of what’s kept him relevant since ‘Zazuu Zeh’ shook the scene.
His biggest post-Zazuu moment came via a hit collaboration with Skepta on ‘Tony Montana’, followed by projects like ‘Tony Montana of London’ and ‘Canadian Burger’—EPs that chronicled his international escapades.
Now with ‘Oni Reason’ on the way, Portable once again proves that for better or worse, his life is the music, and the music never stops.
