Portable surrenders to Police, set to be transferred to Ogun State

Controversial street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in to law enforcement following his recent declaration as wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
The self-styled “Zazuu” crooner, who had been on the run since Monday, February 17, 2025, surrendered to officers at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, Lagos, on Wednesday.
He is now being transferred to Ogun State, where he will be handed over for further investigation.
Portable was wanted for allegedly assaulting three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development while they were carrying out their duties at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota.
Reports indicate that the officials were attacked by a group of men linked to the singer.
Before his surrender, Portable took to social media to claim he was receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta.
In a dramatic plea to the Ogun State Government and the public, he described himself as a “madman” undergoing medical attention.
With his surrender, the singer now faces police questioning and potential legal action regarding the allegations. Fans and observers await further developments on his legal troubles.
