Portable Sparks Uproar Over Alleged ₦50m Demand to Support Tinubu’s 2027 Reelection Campaign

Controversial street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is back in the spotlight this time over a viral video that allegedly captures him demanding a staggering ₦50 million to throw his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 reelection campaign.
In the circulating clip, Portable is reportedly heard during a phone conversation with actor and content creator Lege Miami, discussing possible involvement in campaign activities for the president’s second-term bid.
The Zazoo Zeh star is believed to have quoted the hefty figure as his fee for publicly supporting and promoting the president’s reelection.
The incident has ignited widespread conversations across social media platforms, with many Nigerians reacting to what they describe as an “audacious” demand by the singer, who is no stranger to controversy or political commentary.
This comes shortly after Lege Miami posted a video reaffirming his support for Tinubu’s 2027 ambitions, in which he clarified that his endorsement came at no cost and from personal conviction.
Meanwhile, the latest revelation has added fresh fuel to public discourse around celebrity endorsements in politics, especially as the country inches closer to another election cycle.
As of now, neither Portable nor any representative from the ruling party has issued an official statement in response to the video.
