Portable apologizes to Saheed Osupa, debuts new look after prison release

Controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has once again taken center stage—this time, for a surprising transformation following his release from prison.
In a video posted on his social media accounts, Portable unveiled a dramatic new look, trading his signature flamboyant hairstyles for a completely shaved head.
The visual update came alongside a public apology to Fuji icon Saheed Osupa, marking a notable moment of reflection for the singer.
The legal drama began when Osupa’s team filed a lawsuit accusing Portable of intellectual property theft and defamation—allegations that ultimately led to his arrest and a short stint at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, after he failed to fulfill stringent bail requirements.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Osupa chose to withdraw the charges, citing compassion and the hope for positive change.
Upon his release, Portable took to social media to express gratitude and remorse. “Alhamdulilahi for everything,” he wrote. “Big thanks to all my lovers. Zazuu, I’m sorry for everything. If I do you bad, forgive me… God sent. God loves me. I love you all.”
He also posted a photo of Saheed Osupa, captioned with a heartfelt message: “God bless you sir, I’m sorry Bami.”
The combination of Portable’s humbler tone and fresh appearance has stirred conversation online, with fans speculating that this might signal a turning point in the artist’s turbulent journey—perhaps a step toward growth, maturity, and redemption.
