Portable narrates how met his first wife Bewaji, showers her with love.
Nigerian street musician Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, popularly known as Portable, shared the story of how he met his first wife, Bewaji Ewatomi, and expressed his deep affection for her.
During an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the controversial singer revealed that Bewaji had taken the place of his first wife, who he felt had let him down. According to Portable, Bewaji supported him during his hustle days and would occasionally send him money. She was the one who believed in him when he was not yet famous, and he considered her like a daughter initially. Due to her unwavering support and belief in him, he decided to marry her, acknowledging that she secured her future with him. He stated, “That time wey dem talk say I dey mad, na only she talk say ‘no, he no mad.'”
Portable cautioned men against marrying multiple women if they couldn’t adequately support even one wife. However, he didn’t disclose the exact number of wives he currently has, citing his Islamic background, which permits multiple wives.
He defended his polygamous lifestyle by comparing himself to a king, emphasizing that one king often has many wives. He acknowledged that there might be competition among his wives and baby mamas, but Bewaji holds a special place in his heart.
Despite having multiple women in his life, Portable openly expresses his love for his first wife. Just last month, he celebrated her birthday with heartfelt gifts.
The couple showcased their affection for each other in matching Ankara outfits, which added style and charm to the celebration. The Ankara cloth’s vibrant colors and intricate designs made the occasion feel personalized, and custom-made caps further added a personal touch to the celebration, reflecting Portable’s deep emotions and dedication to their relationship.
Currently, the artist has four baby mamas and five children, with the most recent child being born to Ashabi Simple.
