Portable weighs in on Diddy’s arrest, throws shade at associates
Nigerian singer Portable has added his voice to the ongoing discussions surrounding the arrest and scandal of U.S. music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a viral Instagram video, the Zazu crooner shared freestyle rap, raising questions about Diddy’s connections with certain musicians.
In his Yoruba freestyle, Portable implied that some artists might have made moral compromises in exchange for wealth and success.
He rapped, “He didn’t do Diddy to Diddy, that’s why he doesn’t have a Grammy… Did you use your money to buy a Ferrari, or did you sell yourself to get one?”
His lyrics suggested that some musicians may have engaged in questionable actions to receive material rewards, such as luxury cars. Portable also mentioned Beyonce in the rap, asking whether others could match her talent and beauty.
The video quickly gained traction on social media, sparking debates as many viewers interpreted Portable’s message as a critique of the music industry’s potential moral failings.
As to send shockwaves through the entertainment world, Portable’s bold statements have gone viral, drawing significant attention and reactions from fans.
