Nigerian controversial singer, Portable has reacted to Manny Monie, an ex-signee of his claiming that he was the one who invite the Police to arrest him.
Recall that Portable made headlines after a clash with some police officers who tried to arrest him.
Manny Monie claimed he has petitioned Portable since December 2022 in a viral video. According to him, the police did their best by issuing invitations to the musician, which he did not accept.
According to the petitioner in the video, Portable assaulted him and posted defamatory statements about him online.
Recall that Manny Monie, Portable’s signee, was supposedly attacked by Portable in November for allegedly using another distributor.
Moreover, the Zazuu Zeh crooner stated that he generates millions of naira at the studio in a matter of days, but that he was startled to find sales of only N7,000 upon his return from a month-long trip.
Manny Monie, however, claimed that even after receiving N700,000 from him to appear in one of his songs, his old boss still accused him of being a fraudster.
In his words: “I was the one that wrote the petition against Portable, no be today we don write petition, we don write petitions since last year December. The police tried their possible best, they called him. They gave him three months at least to come to the police station to tell his side of the story about beating him and making false claim about him online.”

In response to the claim, Portable dropped a video defending his actions and explaining why he physically assaulted the upcoming singer.
According to him, Manny Monie was his boy which gave him the right to discipline the upcoming singer the way he felt was right.
Portable stated that Manny inviting the Police to beat him was going too far. He also likened his issue with Manny to a fight between Husband and wife.
He said that he tried to stop Manny from engaging in cybercrime to no avail which led to the incident between them.
