Portable raises booking fee after splurging millions on outfits
Nigerian singer and record label owner Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has recently announced a significant increase in his booking fee.
Taking to social media on Sunday, February 11, 2024, Portable shared a statement unveiling his extravagant lifestyle, attributing his raised booking fee to his lavish spending habits. He boasted of investing millions of naira in his wardrobe, emphasizing his commitment to luxury.
Accompanied by a video showcasing his opulent attire, Portable displayed his collection, featuring a belt valued at 7 million naira along with several million-dollar shoes and suits. With a caption underscoring the extravagant prices, Portable proudly exhibited his expensive outfits, solidifying his status.
In the video, Portable candidly discussed the steep prices of luxury items, challenging viewers to contemplate the costliness of his attire. He provocatively questioned whether viewers would go as far as selling their father’s house to afford his shoes, highlighting the exceptional value of his possessions.
In his words, “Do you want to sell your dad’s house to buy this shoe? You want to sell your papa’s house to buy this shoe? What I’m wearing is worth over 1 million. Look, see the wristwatch on my hand. Go and price it. Do you know this watch? Do you know my worth? If you want to book me for shows, raise the price, o. Price is high; this belt is worth 7 million naira.”
In addition, Portable asserted his value and raised the amounts he charged for his performances, justifying the higher costs by pointing to his opulent lifestyle. His declaration demonstrates his taste for extravagance and indicates a wish to hold onto his privileged position in the entertainment industry.
