Portable increases performance fee to … after securing bail

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has announced a significant increase in his show appearance fee, just days after regaining freedom following his recent legal troubles.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was recently in the spotlight after facing allegations of assaulting government officials. After pleading not guilty, he was granted bail in the sum of N2 million.
Following his release, Portable took to Instagram to declare a new direction in his career, stating that he is now focused on making money rather than getting into trouble.
Alongside this declaration, he revealed that his performance fee has now been raised to N20 million per show.
In his usual outspoken manner, Portable made it clear that only those who can afford his new rate should reach out for bookings. “Zazuu na money I dey look for, I no dey look for wahala again. If you get N20M for show, japa. As dog dey run, money dey go. DM for show bookings, I dey active,” he wrote.
His announcement has since sparked mixed reactions from fans and industry watchers, with many debating whether his revised fee aligns with the current entertainment market.
While some applaud his ambition, others question if promoters would be willing to pay such an amount for his performances.
