Portable orders men to beat car dealer who failed to deliver his new car
Less than three days after sparking outrage for slapping a preacher, Nigerian singer Portable has once again found himself in the headlines. This time, he ordered his associates to beat up a car dealer who allegedly failed to deliver his new vehicle from the U.S.
The incident was captured on a livestream where Portable was seen yelling at the car dealer, who was seated on the floor, visibly distressed and pleading with the singer. Portable shouted repeatedly, “Where is my car? I will destroy your life. Are you trying to kill me or scam me? Where is my car?”
Portable explained that the dealer had promised to ship his car from the U.S. two months ago, but the vehicle had still not arrived.
According to the singer, he was supposed to pick up the car the previous day and announce it on social media, but the dealer had allegedly been dishonest about the car’s status. “He first said the car was with customs, but when we got there, we didn’t see it,” Portable added.

In response, the car dealer insisted, “I didn’t take your car,” but this did little to calm Portable’s anger. In a fit of rage, Portable instructed the men at his bar to beat the dealer, shouting, “You people should beat him, beat him black and blue. Where is my car?!”
This altercation follows closely on the heels of another incident where Portable faced criticism for slapping a preacher who was delivering a sermon in front of his bar. On August 9, 2024, the singer chased the preacher away, claiming he was disturbing his customers. Both incidents have intensified the ongoing controversy surrounding the street-pop artist.
